Identifying MSP’s to resell for and relationships
Hi,
We’re a relatively established IT service provider in our area. For a couple of years we’ve operated under the typical small IT firm structure of a handful of techs servicing tickets or providing ongoing services.
Besides the obvious lack in scalability of this model, I’ve found that given our fairly shallow market and even shallower talent pool, it just doesn’t make sense to hire all the talented guys in town and try to use our talented employees to secure lasting client relations.
The model I would much prefer to move into or at least hybrid with is to find larger, more established MSP’s to act as our talent base. We could provide the onsite support, client interfacing and consulting, and allow our MSP partner to do the actual network admin, server configs, security, monitoring, etc.
Are there other people doing this? How do i go about identifying a reputable, accountable MSP to partner with? If this is already being done, where can i go to find more info on how to structure this type of relationship? Are there any MSP ratings or reviews I could find?
Thanks

Based on what you’ve written I would highly recommend you begin your search with an accredited MSP. These will be more stable companies, with proven track records and sustainable businesses.
Good luck with your search.
You could also look into using someone like Zenith Infotech. They host the help desk and can do the maintenance tasks as sort of an extension of you. There are others out there, but that is the one that I know.
I had similar ideas, but my small pond market doesn’t like the idea of working with people overseas or out of state that don’t know their business. It is a trade-off.
The overseas issue is a genuine one.
Hi there,
We are managed service providers based in India. We can act as your MSP partner. We can handle network monitoring, server monitoring , desktop management and help desk tickets while you can handle direct interaction with the client.
