You may want to check out some of the members who are using Intel vPro to reduce energy consumption by remotely turning on and off desktops. That seems to be the most widespread use of "energy management" we’ve seen, although I’m sure there are others out there in use.

Very interesting. We are going to be making some announcements related to the MSPA’s Green IT Program. HVAC is definitely an area where members, particularly those who have datacenters, are looking for ways to cut costs. Stay tuned…

The relatively new press release from Uncle Sam about billions for automated meter reading (AMR), in combination with stimulus this past spring about pursing energy efficient buildings, is a wide open opportunity for managed service providers like us.
