Unless you’re living under a rock I’m sure you heard that access to Intuit’s online products went down on Wednesday. A lot of small business owners were and are very upset. An online forum that Intuit has was filled with messages ranging from mildly upset to screaming diatribe. Checks could not be deposited, payroll was inaccessible, it was a very bad day for small businesses and Intuit alike, the unthinkable happened. I think in Intuit’s moment of crisis we learned more about the company in 24 hours than observers could learn in years.

Speaking personally, I know the level of care Intuit has even about the types of hosting partners they work with. When a company like Intuit asks their potential hosting partners to go through the MSAP audit process, that speaks volumes about the high level of performance they expect from themselves and their partners.
