I preach pretty hard about my belief that we’re moving closer to the mobile world. With nearly every device you can think of coming equipped with 3G or wireless capabilities it’s really only a matter of time. Cloud technology is going to be the engine that drives that push to mobile. As devices become smaller the amount of storage and RAM they have is put at a premium. Our desire for smaller lightweight devices will only increase the speed of Cloud adoption. It’s funny to me that as people act frightened and scared of moving to the Cloud their actions only hasten the move.

Speaking personally, since most of the end-point devices are consumer driven, I’d like to see more emphasis on security. MSPs have pretty much left mobile devices out of their portfolio of services; I’m guessing because they can’t effectively manage them.
I agree Charles, the mobile community does lend itself to poor security but I don’t think that is the entire issue. Most of the problem roots to the B2B indirect channel from the Mobile carriers and Mobile device manufacturers as they are the only one’s who can sell direct to B2B for companies with greater than 5-20 employee’s (variance based on carrier). If the big mobile companies ever loosen their grip on the B2B market then maybe your point of security will get addressed via channel demand.
