Friday Roundup: Pulse of the Cloud
For this week’s pulse on the Cloud we’re going to give you the best of this week’s news and resources in the Cloud and cover some things we wish had the time to write about.
As the Cloud picks up steam there are some who are worried that CIO’s are losing clout. Our response? We’re not big proponents of the idea that CIO’s are losing clout so much as believe that their roles are evolving quickly.
The next generation of kids and even adults are likely to get their Education in the Cloud. Can’t say you didn’t see it coming though. My wonder is how this will affect education all over the world, not just the United States.
If Apple moves iTunes to the Cloud, they’re WAY ahead of the rest of the crowd. I suspect we’ll see a big jump from Apple this fall…
Remember that Medical Cloud we talked about a few posts back? Well Verizon’s got a head start.
Once again, we have the doomsday predictors that IT will die with the Cloud. Well, if we’re all going down in 2012 anyways…does it matter?
Microsoft kicked off their Partner Conference WPC 2010 and there was a lot of talk about the Cloud about how some are scared but it’s inevitable at this point.
