Microsoft Conducts Round of Layoffs…for the Cloud?
Microsoft’s shift to Cloud Computing is coming at a cost. TechFlash announced a round of layoffs at Microsoft today. Although not nearly as widespread as their deep cut of 5,000 employees made when the Global Economy went down, the cut still has marked significance. The rumor is that Microsoft is banking a large portion of its future on its new Cloud Computing platform Microsoft Azure. The move says Infoworld, is in preparation for adding new jobs to the Azure platform team. Our hunch here at CloudSway is that this is a sure sign of things to come.
