vPro MSPs
You may want to check out some of the members who are using Intel vPro to reduce energy consumption by remotely turning on and off desktops. That seems to be the most widespread use of "energy management" we've seen, although I'm sure there are others out there in use.
Energy Management
I see. Well, the intent of my question was to learn more about HVAC energy managment in the MSP Alliance.

We are getting good interst from Certified Energy Managers, mechanical engineers, and a bit from Architectural firms. What amazes me is how few options there are for small and medium sized facilites to use for HVAC managment, period.
We are strategy building right now to get to the 30-40K subscription level with our service offering, and beyond. What we are looking for right now are strategic partners in managed service provision. To that end, not sure how best to look for just that in the MSP Alliance. Recomendations?
Thanks,

Green IT Program
Very interesting. We are going to be making some announcements related to the MSPA's Green IT Program. HVAC is definitely an area where members, particularly those who have datacenters, are looking for ways to cut costs. Stay tuned...
Green IT and Energy Management
The relatively new press release from Uncle Sam about billions for automated meter reading (AMR), in combination with stimulus this past spring about pursing energy efficient buildings, is a wide open opportunity for managed service providers like us. The time to position for this is now. The time to discuss positioning for this has well past and needs to be occurring…if it is not.
Who in the MSP Alliance is “talking” about the money available from the stimulus and AMR $$$ released by Uncle Sam?
Thanks,
